Incoterms

Incoterms 2000 is an international definition of the trade terms agreed between buyer and seller. Incoterms define exactly the price, risks and responsibilities.
Incoterms 2000 include the 13 trade terms below. 


 - EXW - Ex Works. Risk passes when the seller makes the goods available in the agreed place. 

 - FCA - Free Carrier. Risk passes when the seller hands over the goods to the forwarder in the place named by the buyer. 

 - FAS - Free Alongside Ship. Risk passes when the goods are placed alongside the ship, in the place and on the quay named by the buyer. 

 - FOB - Free on Board. Risk passes at the ship`s rail successively as the seller loads the goods onboard the ship nominated by the buyer in the port named by the buyer. 

 - CFR - Cost and Freight. Exactly the same as FOB except that the seller must clear the goods for export
 
 - CIF - Cost Insurance and Freight. Exactly the same as FOB except that the seller must, in addition, procure and pay for sea and freight insurance until the risk passes at the destination. 

 - CPT - Carriage Paid To. Risk passes when the goods are handed over to the first carrier. 

 - CIP Carriage and Insurance. Risikoovergang sker som ved CPT, men også forsikring betales 
    af sælger. 
 - DAF - Delivered at Frontier. Risk passes when the seller makes the goods available to the buyer at a nominated frontier. 

 - DES - Delivered Ex Ship (duty paid). Risk passes when the seller makes the goods available aboard a ship ready to be unloaded in a port nominated by the buyer. 

 - DEQ - Delivered Ex Quay. Risk passes when the seller makes the goods available to the buyer, cleared for import, on a quay in a port nominated by the buyer. 

 - DDU - Delivered Duty Unpaid. Risk passes when the seller makes the goods available to the buyer at the nominated destination (goods not cleared). 

 - DDP - Delivered Duty Paid. Risk passes when the seller makes the goods available to the buyer at the nominated destination (goods cleared).
